Description

Two years have passed since Max Payne first embarked on his desperate quest for revenge. Returning to his former position as a detective in the New York City Police Department, Max is assigned to investigate a series of murders carried out by group of contract killers known as the Cleaners. Unexpectedly, Max encounters the enigmatic Mona Sax, whom he assumed dead. People from his past begin to return one by one, and Max gradually realizes that he did not know everything about the mysterious Circle and those who were involved in the murder of his family. Description

After Kurt Hectic, the janitor extraordinaire, has bravely ventured into the perilous minecrawlers and averted the alien threat to the Earth, he returns to his friends, the genius scientist Dr. Fluke Hawkins, and his invention, the six-legged robotic dog Max, to celebrate their great victory. However, they find out that one minecrawler in Canada still hasn’t been destroyed. Kurt is sent to complete the mission, but as a result gets kidnapped by an alien being known as Shwang Shwing. Doc and Max rush to his rescue, and soon realize that they are up against a much bigger threat, involving an alien empire and galactic conquest. The fate of the Earth is in their hands.

MDK 2 is the sequel to the third-person shooter MDK, largely following the same gameplay template and re-creating its humorous tone. Most of the gadgets used by Kurt in the previous game return in the sequel. In addition to levels in which the player controls Kurt, the game introduces two new playable characters, Doc and Max, with their own levels. The three protagonists have distinctly different gameplay styles. Kurt is a versatile fighter who is able to shoot enemies from afar using his trusty sniper mortal; the boss encounters of his levels usually involve various sniping strategies. Kurt can also use his special suit to glide from platform to platform. Max is the most straightforward of the three; having six legs, he can shoot from four guns at once, and also use a jetpack for long jumps. The Doc is physically the weakest characters; he relies on stealth and manipulation of items to solve problems. On the streets at night, anything can happen. And if you have a car that can race the distance, there’s money involved too.

This is the premise behind Midnight Club II, in which you must work your way up the ranks of illegal street racing by challenging and defeating the best over three cities.

Each race occurs in a different area of the city, and all you have to do to get started is flash your lights at the person you wish to drag. Then follow the map for the track route and go hell for leather. Further along, shortcuts will also come into play, giving you an advantage in getting to the finish first.

Each race you win racks up cash, which goes towards new and much faster cars for the more difficult challenges. You’ll also get the chance to go two wheels with a selection of highly mobile bikes. …

The Punisher

Description

The game begins with a cinematic of the Punisher (Thomas Jane) killing several footmen of the Yakuza. After he leaves the building, he is apprehended by law enforcement in front of an unknown building. He is then transferred to Ryker’s Island and interrogated by police detectives Molly von Richthofen (Julie Nathanson) and Martin Soap (Michael Gough). The majority of the game occurs in flashbacks during this interrogation.

First, the Punisher raids a crack house and eventually kills its owner Damage (Steven Blum) by dropping him from several stories above the ground. After almost getting hit by a car upon his exit, the Punisher traces the vehicle to a chop shop. After slaughtering the criminals there, he learns that it is owned by the Gnucci crime family, led by Ma Gnucci (Saffron Henderson), because Carlo Duka (John Cygan), the shop’s owner, is a Gnucci lieutenant; the Punisher drops him in a car compactor where Duka is subsequently crushed. Re-Volt is a racing game where you take control over one of more than 28 R/C cars and drive on one of the 13 tracks. The tracks are varied, and include a toy shop, a supermarket, a luxury liner and more. It is possible to play a “reversed” (backwards) or “mirror” (reversed left and right) variety of each track. There are also 4 levels of realism to choose from.

There are a couple of single- and multiplayer game modes to choose from. There’s a Single Race, where you complete a single track while competing with several computer-controlled opponents; a Championship, where you try to complete a series of races in hopes of finishing on the top; and Multiplayer, where you play with live opponents. There’s also a Time Trial, where you’re alone on the track, and simply try to get as best a time as possible; a Practice mode, where you’re free to drive around a track to learn its structure and shortcuts; and the Stunt Arena, where you drive around a special arena and try to collect stars situated in hard-to-reach places. …

Serious Sam II is the sequel to Serious Sam is an equally un-serious first-person shooter with everything blown out of proportion. It offers huge levels with hundreds of opponents, funny worlds with various themes, a vivid colour palette, lots of big guns and some of the largest bosses around (including a giant gorilla, bee, skeleton, dragon and robot). Sam “Serious” Stone must fight through the minions of evil mastermind Mental to collect the five pieces of a medallion which will allow him to harm Mental himself.

The game is based around DOOM’s more simple approach to gameplay with a dose of old school game design featuring score, a life-count and extra lives. The outrageous enemies come in waves, dozens at a time, ammo for the basic weapons is plentiful and action almost never ceases. Sometimes a dinosaur, various vehicles (including a flying saucer) and static guns can be mounted to lay waste to Mentals hordes.
