Prince of Persia – Warrior Within

Description

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is the direct sequel to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Seven years later, the Prince is hunted by a monster known as Dahaka. He finds out that anyone who manipulates the Sands of Time is destined to die shortly afterwards; but the Prince has escaped his fate, and that’s the reason for Dahaka’s rage. Now the Prince must travel to the mysterious Island of Time, where he hopes to find the Empress of Time and, through time manipulation, somehow prevent her from creating the Sands in the first place…

The game comes with a new, darker look for the Prince and his surroundings. The fights are more brutal and take a larger part in the game, as the Prince now has enhanced fighting moves including new attack moves via walls and poles.

Even though the fights make up a large part of the game, the puzzle sections are still present and more complicated than before. A new move in the puzzle sections of the game is the curtain slide, which allows you to slide down to the ground slowly. There are still plenty of options for time manipulation and the storyline also lets you travel back and forth in time, visiting the same locations in an alternate time period. …

Zoo Tycoon 2

Description

Zoo Tycoon 2 is the sequel to Zoo Tycoon. The sequel updates the graphics, but keeps much of the original gameplay the same.

You start with an open field and must build it up into a zoo. Create exhibits and populate them with animals. Build amenities and concession stands to keep visitors happy in between exhibits. Happy visitors will donate more money to your zoo so you can make it better. However, you have much more freedom in exhibit creation. You don’t even need fences; a moat or ditch will suffice, as this technique is popular at real high profile zoos. There are also more animals and attractions to place in your zoo, and animal habitats look as realistic as the cartoony graphics style will allow. …

Medal of Honor – Pacific Assault

Description

The series that kicked off the flood of World War II FPS games on the PC is back. Much like the last console installment, Rising Sun, the theatre of operations has now moved to the Pacific. The game narrates the story of four young US Marines through the eyes of Tommy Conlin. There is the strong leader type, the educated and sophisticated medic (or corpsman), the short and simple sharpshooter and the quiet, but effective, soldier role is reserved for the player.

The game attempts to bring Call of Duty’s cinematic atmosphere to the Medal of Honor series, with impressively directed scripted sequences, chances for player heroics, hidden objectives which grant stripes and medals and other elements. It also offers detailed statistics for the player’s actions and a chance to replay levels in order to achieve any missed objective.

The gameplay focuses mainly on the jungle warfare which took place on the islands of the Pacific Ocean, and ends in 1943 with the landing on the Tarawa Atoll. Multiplayer supports up to 32 players and includes a new mode called “Invasion”. …

Beyond Divinity

Description

When Lucian the Divine defeated the evil organization known as the Black Ring, he was late to prevent a dark ritual from happening: the soul of the Lord of Chaos was summoned into the body of an innocent boy. Unable to slay the boy, Lucian adopted him and raised him as his own son, naming him Damian. When Damian was fifteen, a young witch called Ygerna seduced him and taught him the ways of magic, hoping to unlock the evil powers contained within him. Lucian killed Ygerna with his own hand, and Damian was unable to forgive him. In order to stop him from unleashing his wrath on the world, Lucian had to seal Damian’s memories and prevent him from returning to Rivellon.

A few years later, a group of paladins of the Divine order was fighting a powerful necromancer from the Black Ring. The necromancer summoned a demon called Samuel, who killed all the paladins but one. The survivor was imprisoned, awaiting torture, when a mysterious armor-clad creature calling himself the Death Knight appeared in his cell. Death Knight told the paladin that Samuel soul-forged them together, apparently as a punishment for something he did. The two must first escape the prison and eventually find a way to break the soul-forging. …
