Description

Pet Stories is the second game in the The Sims Stories series, part of the larger Sims franchise. Unlike the main The Sims 2 game, which offers open-ended gameplay, this title focuses on two, more or less linear stories involving raising and training pets. Upon completion a classic mode is unlocked where the player can create a new character with much more freedom and open-ended gameplay. The game offers the familiar interface of the original game, with scripted sequences and set goals to achieve. The content of the game is largely borrowed from The Sims 2: Pets and The Sims 2: Nightlife.

The first story, Best in Show, is about Alice from Garden Heights, who has financial problems and is about to lose her house. As a final resort, she enters her Dalmatian in a dog show to earn money to save her house. There are competitors in the show, and Alice also has friends and rivals she interacts with.

The second story, Midnight Masquerade, is about the executive chef Stephen Loyal and it is set in the neighbourhood of Mesa Flats. Stephen is asked to organize the annual Midnight Masquerade. Meanwhile he has to take care of his Celeste Girard’s cat Diva Loyal while she is on her honeymoon, to make up for him missing her wedding. This addition to Firefly Studios’ castle building and management sim series offers 3D graphics and many new gameplay elements. But unlike original games, Stronghold Legends shifts the focus away from realistic medieval castle building and defending with exceedingly historical units to fantasy real-time strategic combat with Merlins, Dragons, and huge Giants who destroy castles.

The game features 24 missions in over 3 single player campaigns, where the player commands Knights of the Round Table led by King Arthur, an evil army of Count Dracula or Siegfried, and the German Dragon Slayer and his followers.

Description

The sequel to FireFly Studios’ Stronghold is a castle building and management sim which offers 3D graphics and many new gameplay elements. It retains the mix of a construction/management game with real-time strategic combat in which the player either lays siege to his opponents or defends his castle against them.

The campaign is again divided in two parts: the more peaceful part in which management is the primary concern of the player, and the military campaign in which the player fights to restore order to the troubled kingdom of England. However, there is some limited fighting in the peaceful campaign (mostly beasts and bandits) and the player must definitely know how to build a good economy to support his army in the military campaign.

New mechanics include the crime and punishment system, the honour “currency” which is gained by higher-tier kingdom activities such as organizing feasts (for which special food types are required) and jousting tournaments, waste management and pest extermination. Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas is a 3D action game based on the animated movie of the same name. The swashbuckler Sinbad was accused of stealing the Book of Peace, which had been protecting the city of Syracuse from peril. However, it soon becomes clear that Eris, the goddess of Chaos, is the real thief, and Sinbad must find her and bring the book back.

Description

Shogun: Total War is a real-time strategy game in which you play as a Daimyo, one of the warlords battling for the right to be called Shogun, ruler of a united Japan. The game is roughly split into two sections: a map-based planning stage and a 3D battle stage.

The map stage is where you build buildings in the territories that you own, organize forces, plan campaigns and generally deal with the running of your conquests. You can also research new technologies and train troops here, so it is very important.

When a conflict arises, you turn to the battle stage. Unlike almost all other real-time strategy games, Shogun’s battles take place on a 3D battlefield with realistic terrain. Hills roll gently into the distance, scattered trees break up the horizon and your troops lie dead in a pile on the floor. Twenty years before the original Star Wars (A New Hope), the Galactic Republic is undergoing a major political crisis because of a dispute on commercial taxation. Under the pretext of solving the crisis, the greedy Trade Federation has besieged the small planet of Naboo with armies of combat droids and space battleships. Two Jedi Knights, master Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice, a very young Obi-Wan Kenobi, are sent by the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic to negotiate the end of the blockade with the Trade Federation’s leaders. But little do the Jedi know that these events are only the beginning of a master plot by an ancient enemy to control the entire galaxy.

Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace is an action-adventure game based on the movie of the same name from 1999. Playing a number of characters from the movie -depending on which level you’re on-, including Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Queen Amidala of Naboo, and Captain Panaka of the Royal Security Forces, you undertake quests and side-quests, solve puzzles, and use weapons to defeat enemies -including your lightsaber, the weapon of a Jedi Knight-. Conflict – Desert Storm II

Description

On August 2, 1990, Iraqi forces invade and occupy Kuwait, resulting in an allied coalition of over 100 countries to come to the aid of Kuwait against Iraq. During the first days of Kuwait’s liberation, Special Forces team Alpha One is deployed on a rescue mission to Al-Hadar, where ‘Delta Two’, an allied Special Forces team is trapped behind Iraqi lines. With gunships providing assistance, Alpha One breach the city walls, locate and secure Delta Two’s last known position but does not immediately make visual contact with them. Alpha One continues to search the city for them the next morning, and finally locate them after battling through several Iraqi troops and supporting armour in the city. Alpha One then escort Delta Two to an evacuation point at an Iraqi communications post, which Alpha One subsequently destroy upon Delta Two’s extraction before leaving themselves.

Alpha One are then sent on a covert operation to destroy an Iraqi radar site and fuel dump. Sneaking past the base defences, Alpha One successfully destroy the designated targets, however upon completion of their mission Alpha One find themselves surrounded by Iraqi troops, tanks and gunships. Seeing very little option, Bradley orders his team to surrender, and Alpha One are taken prisoner. Inside an Iraqi prison, Alpha One are brutally interrogated by their captors. A flight of Stealth fighters drop smart bombs over the complex, providing Alpha One a means to escape. Before returning to the Allied lines, Alpha One are deployed to a site housing Sarin gas as well as multiple SCUD missiles and launchers that they disarm and destroy respectively. …
