Description

Spider-Man 2 is an almost completely different game for PC than its console counterpart. This is not a console port as expected, but a different ‘kiddie’ version brought to you by ‘The Fizz Factor’ and Activision.

As Spider-Man you must battle out through 8 chapters of mischief and mayhem to succeed. Along the way you will encounter and have to battle old foes like Rhino, Mysterio, Puma, Doc Ock and more. The game interface consists of a simple point and click system coupled with keyboard movement. Unlike it’s console counterpart there is no free swinging movement but one designed with kids in mind.

Fighting consists of basic punching, kicking, jumpkicks and a power meter that lets you do a supercharged attack. ‘Spidey’ can also zip to walls and objects and use his web to do basic attacks on enemies. …

Sydney 2000

Description

The official video game of the Games of the XXVII Olympiad held in 2000 in Sydney. It includes 32 nations, going for gold in 12 events divided by 6 sports: Athletics (100m dash, 110m hurdles, hammer and javelin throw, triple jump and high jump), Aquatics (200m freestyle and 10m platform diving), Kayak K1 Slalom, Super Heavyweight Weight Lifting, Skeet Shooting and Three-man track cycling pursuit. All events feature 3D graphics with cameras that mimic the ones used in TV broadcasts.

Gameplay is the usual found in games of the genre – button mashing the two power buttons is required in most events to build up strength/speed, with an additional third button setting the actions, such as jumping or throwing angle. Other events feature alternate control methods, such as Slalom (where it’s possible to press certain buttons to dodge the rower between the gates if the Kayak is going to hit one or place the paddle to force into a certain direction), Diving (following a “click-along” sequence of keys) and Skeet (the direction keys controlling the aim, one button to start and other to shoot). …

Marvel Comics Spider-Man: The Sinister Six features the wall-crawling superhero Spider-Man, trying to defeat six of his arch-enemies, The Sinister Six: Dr. Octopus, Hobgoblin, Shocker, Chameleon, Mysterio, and Vulture. The player will control both Spider-Man and his alter-ego Peter Parker.

At heart, this is an adventure game. It consists of conversing with people and solving puzzles. From time to time, the player must choose which presented event he will pursue, leading the narrative one way or another. Six different story lines and outcomes are possible. Puzzles are of the type “break the code”, or “decrypt the message”.

Description

Released alongside Activision’s more action-oriented interpretation of the summer 2004 film, the Spider-Man 2 Activity Center features seven movie-based puzzles and mini-games that younger children can play on the PC. Each of these activities is based on a particular scene from the movie, and all are designed to educate while they entertain. The games have three difficulty settings, to accommodate players in the four- to eight-year-old age range. The voices of film stars Tobey Maguire (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) and Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus) are featured, and players who successfully complete activities can print out special certificates featuring graphics from the film.

Sanjuro is a commander in the army of United Corporate Authority and a pilot of a Mobile Combat Armor (a giant mech) in the far future. The UCA is fighting the Fallen, a terrorist organization.
