Description

- Authentic WWII scenarios - 10 missions spanning 9 different environments in night and day with realistic weather effects.
- Multiplayer - players can go to war in the co-operative multiplayer mode.

Repack v2 changelog:
- Removed the widescreen fixes that are above 1440x900 since the game crashes when playing at a higher screen resolution
The Destination Paris mod supposedly allows you to play the game at higher resolutions, however it is not included here since the final game size is around 20GB
The latest version of it as of 26th February, 2024 is v2.6 and it can be found here:

It can be installed with this repack but the repack has to be installed with the "Game Default" resolution option

I would remove resolutions above 1440p since they cause graphical issues that make the game not playable (https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Commandos_2:_Men_of_Courage). I've tried 1920x1080 and it's impossible to play, but from 1440p and below works perfect! thanks
ReplyDeleteAre you sure about 1920x1080 ???? It works perfectly fine as long as you read the repack notes and use the +/- zoom-in/zoom-out from the numpad on your keyboard... Your keyboard doesn't have Numeric keys? That's too bad
DeleteYeah, I'm sure. It's well known among commandos players that commandos 2 cannot be played with any resolution higher than 1440x900px. The zooming-in/zooming-out trick (+/- button on the keyboard) does not work, what is more, it causes the game to crash if you play at a resolution higher than 1440px.

The only way to play commandos 2 on 1920x1080 is by installing the Destination Paris mod, which modifies the in-game graphics and maps and makes the game compatible with higher resolutions. Other option is to play the HD Remaster, but it is a crap.
